Celebrity Sex Tapes are a recent phenomenon whereby either the celebrity releases with or has a tape released without their consent – more often the latter, of themselves with another person who could also be a celebrity as you will read below of some of the more famous celeb sex tapes.

While celebrity sex tapes are nothing new, the recent release of so many high-profile stars is something new.

Pamela Anderson and her then Husband Tommy Lee (of Mötley Crüe fame) had a tape released in 1998. In 2005, Pamela Anderson was in yet another video with Poison Band Leader Bret Michaels, which was released to DVD on September 7th of that year.

Paris Hilton is the most well known celebrity to release a sex-tape of herself and her then boyfriend, Rick Salomon complete with night cam and included various sex positions as well as performing a blowjob, it was titled “1 Night in Paris”.

Kim Kardashian became a household name after E! gave her and her family a reality showed titled “Keeping up With the Kardashians” after a sex tape was released with her and her then current Boyfriend Ray J (starred on the UPN show Moesha). She too sued, but later settled with Vivid Ent. For a reported $5 Million US.

Severina Vuckovic – A Croatian pop-star and was well known for her upstanding Christian values had a tape released of her and a married man on a boat. She sued, claiming the tape was unlawfully acquired, but the case was dismissed.

Kid Rock, and Scott Stapp from Creed, appear in a sex tape from 1999 with them having sex with four groupies. The tape was to be released until one of the women successfully blocked the tape through a court order. It was to be released by Red Light District.

\WWE Wrestlers Chyna, and X-Pac actually solicited their sex tape to porn studios, which differs in the supposed leaks that are norm for celebrity sex tapes. The films title was “1 night in Chyna”.

Dustin Diamond (Remember Screech from Saved by the Bell? Yeah that’s him) filmed with the intent to launch his career again, as well as provide him with extra income. He ended the film with performing a sex move known as a Dirty Sanchez.

The Controversy surrounding celebrity sex tapes is that they may not be career boosters, and have ruined many famous Asian pop-stars that were in political position and later had to resign a result, the other is that they may not be ‘leaked’ by some 3rd party and may be used a stunt for self-promotion to increase their presence.
