Hentai is a Japanese Erotic or Pornographic Comic, or film in the anime style depicting sexual actions based on the wide variance of definitions, and certain fetishes they may include.

Hentai is broken down in demographics, and is thus marketed to different sexual orientations, genders, and ages. The most common is the

Ero-manga, and is a comic book style marketed towards heterosexual males and includes many types of erotic stories, and types depending upon preference of the reader.

Redicomi in Japanese, or Ladies’ comics are manga comics aimed at women, and generally now encompass the josei – explained below, and focuses on primarily on arousing the female reader.

For homosexual males hentai known as Gei Comi involving ‘menslove’ is marketed at the gay market.

Boys Love (josei) can be marketed to women of various ages, or older men, depending on the art style and who is involved in the narrative of the manga. Those marketed towards young women interested in male youth are referred to as shojo, while josei refers to the market of older women interested in young boys.

Yuri is girl’s love, and is the most common component of the shojo gender for young women, and as well for the larger genre of ero-manga for males of various ages.

Teen love is marketed to the shojo and josei markets and is considered a more explicit style of romance or erotica involving teenagers who typically range from 13-18.

Fetishes are large part of Hentai as well, as Hentai only refers to the fact that it is animated erotica, which in print form is specifically referred to as Manga. Fetishes in the Japanese culture can be similar to that of the Western world and include such acts as BDSM, specifically breast bondage and torture, as well as more general types of Bondage and domination involving power exchanges, spanking.

Another breast related fetish is where the individual has literally bursting breasts, either causing clothing to tear, or someone to become asphyxiated due their size. Lactation can also be another fetish involved with the breasts.

Some other more particular types of fetishes involve watersports, where the individual has a full bladder and is stimulated, or tortured until they release their urine; this can be classified under the Urolagnia, which is the fascination of urination.

Lollicon is the fascination with girls who are pre-adolescent, and comes from the book Lolita, from Vladimir Nabakov. Lollicon is banned in the Philippines, Ireland, Australia, Sweden, New Zealand, and Canada

Futanari is the depiction of trans, or hermaphrodites who have different assortments of dual genitalia, including breasts and just the penis shaft, or both genitalia and an enlarged genatalia clitoris.
