Position 69

The 69 Position or 69’ing involves two partners or any sexual orientation, male/female, female/female, or male/male sitting opposite with their mouth’s on the other’s genitals to offer simultaneous stimulation. This position however, can prove to be difficult for a couple whose height varies greatly, as they may find that constant stimulation is awkward or insufficient to reach climax.

In the 69 position - aptly named for the fact that the participants involved look like the inverted numbers 6 and 9, the couple can have one recipient lie down on their back while the other climbs on top, or both partners can lie on the sides which is mentioned in the Kama Sutra as the position as The Congress of the Crow.

In addition to simultaneous stimulation of the genitals is the fact that the sensation can be different from typical oral sex as the genitals are stimulated from an inverted position. Thus some may find it alluring to try and stimulate their partners from another position, and women may find that their clitoris is more sensitive on the top of the clit as she is licked through his clitoral hood.

While both partners are receiving stimulation simultaneously, one must take care not too focus too much on their themselves as they may not offer enough stimulation to their partner as a result of being distracted. However this can be offset by the employing the use of sex toys either in the vagina, or the anus to offer additional stimulation.

When more than two people are engaged in simultaneous oral sexual stimulation this is commonly referred to as daisy chaining, and involves at least three, but can count as any greater number of people.
